ALBUQUERQUE BALLOON FIESTA EVENT SECURITY
EvenTech Systems provided Balloon Fiesta event security and guest-screening support for the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta from October 5–13, 2024. The internationally recognized event welcomed large crowds across multiple days, requiring reliable screening technology and carefully coordinated entrance operations.
Our team deployed 45 OPENGATE advanced weapons detection units across key entry points. In addition, EvenTech supported gate management, equipment operation, crowd movement, command center coordination, and critical response planning.
The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta attracts visitors from around the world. However, large crowds and multiple entrances can create security and guest-flow challenges during busy arrival periods.
OPENGATE allows attendees to move naturally through screening areas while security teams monitor potential threats. Unlike traditional walk-through metal detectors, the system reduces routine stops and unnecessary pocket checks. As a result, visitors can enter more efficiently while trained personnel focus on alerts and secondary screening.
EvenTech Systems positioned 45 OPENGATE units at important venue entrances based on expected attendance and guest traffic. The equipment created multiple screening lanes and helped the event team process visitors during peak entry periods.
Our technicians also supported the systems throughout the event. Therefore, security personnel could maintain reliable operations and adjust the screening setup when crowd conditions changed.
